Open 3D Engine (O3DE) is regularly updated by amazing members of the O3DE community. Check out the latest news about O3DE’s development in each Special Interest Group (SIG) roadmap.

Please understand that roadmaps are subject to change, depending on feedback from the community and other members, and available resources.

SIG-Build Features include build systems, infrastructure, and automation. For more information, refer to the SIG-Build charter .
SIG-Content Features include the Editor framework, content workflows, visual and scripting languages, and asset processing. For more information, refer to the SIG-Content charter .
SIG-Core Features include core frameworks, behavior context, serialization, code reflection, packaging, AZCore and AZFramework. For more information, refer to the SIG-Core charter .
SIG-Docs-Community Features include documentation style standards, website management, community standards, and cross-SIG documentation for O3DE. For more information, refer to the SIG-Docs-Community charter .
SIG-Graphics-Audio Features include 2D and 3D GPU video renderer, audio renderer, AR/VR rendering, data specification meshes, materials, shaders, and textures. For more information, refer to the SIG-Graphics-Audio charter .
SIG-Network Features include communication standards, cloud networking, multiplayer client / server / peer networking. For more information, refer to the SIG-Network charter .
SIG-Platform Features include platform abstraction, Windows/MacOS/Linux/Android/iOS/other toolchains, language support, platform specific packaging, shared cross-platform code and libraries. For more information, refer to the SIG-Platform charter .
SIG-Release Responsibilities include managing branch and release processes and schedules, merging stabilization to release, and strategizing freeze resolutions. For more information, refer to the SIG-Release charter .
SIG-Security Responsibilities include running security reviews and campaigns, developing tooling and communication, maintaining security bulletins, and defining security compliance standards. For more information, refer to the SIG-Security charter .
SIG-Simulation Features include physics API, animation systems, cloth simulation, destruction systems, AI systems, and robotic systems. For more information, refer to the SIG-Simulation charter .
